ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Rob Sleamaker has trained and coached endurance athletes for almost 20 years. He earned his M.S. in exercise physiology from the University of Arizona in 1982. From 1983 to 1986, Rob was director of sports medicine for the U.S. Biathlon Team. He has also worked with the U.S. Cross-Country Ski Team.

Rob is an inventor and product designer. He holds three U.S. Patents for exercise equipment, including the popular Vasa Trainer, a sport specific exercise machine used by the world's best swimmers, triathletes, surfers and in health clubs and sports rehabilitation/PT clinics. His company,
Vasa, Inc. produces the Vasa Trainer and will soon release the Vasa Swimming and Canoe/Kayak Ergometers. Together with Ray Browning, Rob also provides personalized sports training programs, software, training seminars and consulting through their company, SportsAdvantage. Rob and Ray are available for interviews, articles, presentations and clinics.

Ray Browning is a seven-time Ironman Triathlon winner and the 1993 World Champion in the Mountain Man Winter Triathlon. Ray also holds an M.S. in kinesiology from UCLA. One of the foremost experts on cross-training, he regularly speaks to groups about the benefits and process of cross training for fitness and sport conditioning.

Ray is a popular speaker, writer, training camp coach, and the host of the popular television show Trailside. He works together with Rob to provide training programs, coaching and presentations through their company, SportsAdvantage.
